This is news that USFGIS  a global inspection company diversified in biomass, grains, foods, minerals, heavy equipment, steel products and trans-loading services, announced that it has signed a strategic agreement with Twin Ports Testing Inc. planning a joint to market approach for the Biomass industry.

USFGIS L.L.C. is committed to helping its customers to safeguard their businesses through its domestic and global operations. On a global level USFGIS L.L.C. operates through the GSATM (Global Superintendence Alliance), a network of highly specialized inspection companies active in over 59 countries.

“This is a great opportunity to a fast and cost-effective way to leverage our strengths and create market differentiation. We are excited to work with our new partners at Twin Ports Testing and to start working together as one on our joint market approach.”

Twin Ports Testing Inc. has been involved in the wood pellet industry since the early 1980’s. The National Resource Research Institute (NRRI), located in Duluth MN, developed much of the technology needed to initiate the pelletized fuel industry. Because of TPT’s close proximity, NRRI relied on TPT’s fuel analysis lab during this development.

As an active member of the Pellet Fuel Institute (PFI), TPT has been involved in developing the North American Standards for Pelletized/Densified Commercial and Residential Fuel as well as QA/QC procedures.

“We have a solid understanding of how pellet mills work, and how your analysis values may affect the proper functioning of a pellet burning appliance. By working together with USFGIS LLC we are now able to combine their inspection services expertise with our expertise in testing and consulting, an added value for our customers,” said Stephen Sundeen, Chemistry Laboratory Manager at Twin Ports Testing.
